Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Long Beach area. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 24 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Long Beach area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Evergreen Solar and Home Battery is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Evergreen is my go to Solar company. The technicians that performed the repairs arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. Dealing with the office was also a good experience. I very much recommend Evergreen Solar for any and all of your Solar needs.

Evergreen Solar did an excellent job on our house. Bryan came out and discussed everything with us in great detail. He really knows his stuff. He was very responsive every time I had a question for him during the install. His crew was very professional as well. I was very happy that they were able to do a configuration where you can’t see the panels from the street, which I really like. The install itself with all the wiring and additional equipment was done in a very aesthetic and clean manner, which I really appreciated. We needed a panel upgrade, so Bryan recommended an electrician that he

Bryan is suuuuper knowledgeable about solar systems and battery installs. He also isn't looking to put you into the most expensive system. He's big on you getting a return on investment. He also had the most creative solution on battery placement of any of the installers I spoke with. Honest, responsive, extremely expert. You can't go wrong with these guys.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, bonded and insured, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on X, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
