Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Virginia. Across Virginia, 56 of the 118 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 14 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first. I have always wanted solar for cost benefits to us and for being environmentally sound. It just seemed to good to be true. Our advisor was brilliant and patient and walked us through every step of the process. He made sure to explain the cost benefits and how the lease program worked. He is also a genuine and nice guy, which was a big plus as I felt he had our interests at heart. Installation was quick and easy. Looking forward to being able to turn it on once the inspections are completed. Highly recommend this company if you are even thinkin

They were very easy to work with. They efficiently resolved my issue with the vendor and got my solar fixed quickly. Highly recommend!

Joel Harlingen, Dan Kant, Whitney Curtis and Natalie Davis made the transition to Solar Power a breeze. They had the patience and took the time to answer all our questions. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of going with Solar. I want to thanks them and all the staff from Virginia Energy Solutions.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing and 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
