Abundant Energy worked with Planet Solar Solutions. It took almost 2 years to get work done. Customer service was very bad. Sometimes it would take several weeks for reply. At the end I lost over a year of manufacturer's warranty time due to their inadequate work. I would not recommend this comapny.

I did my solar panels with this company and it was a big mistake. At first everything was going well and everyone answered my phone calls and/or emails. Once the project was completed they stopped answering my calls or emails. The engineer made a mistake on how many panels were supposed to be installed on my roof and Bill told me they would just come and paint the extra brackets. I told Bill no that it needed to be removed it’s been approximately 2-3 months and no one has came to fix the error this company made. The panels passed inspection in May and I began making payments to towards the sol

My experience with Abundant Energy was terrible. I hired this company to install a 10KW solar system on my roof and had lots of problems with them. For starters, they did not file for a Notice of Commencement or permit until the project was installed and I caught them at it. Unfortunately, I had to make many visits to Bill's office just to keep the project moving. Although Bill is a nice guy, he doesn't seem to care about his clients. His crew would not show up on time and Bill would not inform me that they wouldn't be at my house as scheduled. Even though I had taken the day off from work. WA

Bill sent out a crew quickly to replace my solar hot water heater. I felt good about the price and service. They offer preventative maintenance on the heater but were supportive to teach me how I may perform it on my own, if I want to. I think it is smart to work with a company that specializes in solar when I have solar equipment needs.

Great company. Don't believe the negative reviews. Bill is honest and will take care of you like family.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
