Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Maryland. Across Maryland, 48 of the 111 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 421 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Solar Geeks on behalf of Advanced Solar, LLC miss-represented various aspects of the free DC Solar for all DC residents. First I was told if I needed a NEW Roof it would be at NO Cost. The roof inspection was not done thoroughly, and then it was determined that in fact I needed a new roof to support the solar panel structure. Then it was determined that I only need a minor roof repairs. For this mishap I was promised $250 months ago, from the roofing contractor which I never received. The price of a new/ repaired roof changed without my immediate notification. The solar panels were installed w

They mentioned religion to me and then wouldn't take no for an answer. Really predatory, and horrific salesman tactics: they contacted me through 3 different phone numbers after I've blocked two. A word of advice for them specifically: leave me alone.

ZERO STAR! I have the worst experience with Advanced Solar for what I hoped would be a seamless transition to solar energy. Unfortunately, what ensued was a nightmare scenario that left me with a damaged roof, a compromised interior, and a sinking feeling of being scammed. From the outset, Advanced Solar presented themselves as a reputable company, promising top-notch service and a commitment to ensuring no harm would come to my property. However, their actions spoke much louder than their words. Following the installation of solar panels on my roof, it quickly became apparent that something w

Lewis Martin and his team did an excellent job. They arrived in the morning and went right to work. They mentioned it maybe a two day project but they were able to finish in one day. Any questions I had Mr Martin was able to answer. Thanks for your professional service

Lewis Martin and his team were excellent. They were professional, friendly, and most of all, the installation was done well. No problems. They were fast and efficient. I would recommend them to install your solar system.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
