Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

My better half and I were fortunate enough to work with Allen Whitehead when we made the switch to solar for our home in sunny, Bakersfield, CA. For the sake of transparency, I should probably note that my better half and I are both REALLY what is known as a 'hard sale'. We do our product research prior to any sales pitch, and for that reason, we can both be a salesman's worst nightmare. We were able to get connected with Allen Whitehead through mutual colleagues, he came recommended so we decided to have him over to discuss things with us. From that first meeting on, Allen took many hours out

I got the best solar system I could find, at a price that was far better than just competitive, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The best part of the entire experience was the incredible customer service and the feeling of having a *partner* in this adventure, not just a sales team. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with Aurora Energy! They are so friendly, professional and passionate! They show that they really care about their customers and the environment! I highly recommend them for any of your solar needs!!

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
