Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Tucson. Across Arizona, 157 of the 269 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 44 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Tucson whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Custom Solar and Leisure is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Decent product, supposedly good warranty. Communication from the company is nonexistent. VERY expensive. Would not refer to anyone.

It was the great reviews that led us to Custom Solar and Leisure, and now I'm happy to join in. Our solar pool heating project was a very smooth process, from the initial sales discussion, through the installation, to final inspection. The owner, Jeff, was on-site for the project start, and again to inspect the completed install to ensure it met his standards. He walked us through all operating procedures and helped us program the pool pump for maximum efficiency. Overall great experience.

Jeff was amazing. He was very through and fixed the problem with our solar system. Great customer service.

After some research I decided to go with CSL for my solar pool heating needs. I met with the sales guy and soon had the install scheduled. Install was done in a day (a little less). Everything was done well and they even used my own house paint to paint the white PVC piping so it doesn't stand out against the house. The following week Jeff (the owner) came by to check the installation and provide information on how to operate and maintain the system. His explanations were in-depth and easy to understand. The highlight of the visit though was when Jeff discovered that some exposed wiring for on

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
