Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 128 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 55 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I spent much time and back and forth trying to speak to someone from this company, to no avail. I received a quote and followed up with their sales representative, Liam, who asked to schedule a zoom call. I was not available by zoom but was available by telephone and he confirmed a date/time to call me. That did not happen and I reached out again to confirm that he would be calling. He said it "slipped his mind" and asked if I was available for a call. I gave him my availability and he once more ghosted me. It has now been three days and I have not once received word of confirmation or a call

Greenpoint solar did an awesome job with the estimate, installation and follow through of our solar roof. The estimate was competitive and their professionalism was outstanding. The guys doing the installation were prompt and very courteous. Highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Greenpoint, very timely and professional. Helped with some wiring I needed done in my home and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to have work done!

I recently worked with them on a home remodel and I really appreciated their attention to detail and efficiency.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Free estimate

“call. We would be happy to provide a free consultation for residential or commercial solar…”

  • Financing

“solar rebates and we provide solar financing options to make the transition even easier.”

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
