Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in Kennewick. Across Washington, 44 of the 99 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 43 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Kennewick whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Hot Solar Solutions is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I very much regret that I went with Hot Solar Solutions. To their credit, they agreed to install a very good system that I had purchased somewhere else, and they usually came when they said that they would. That is the extent of the good things that I can say. My neighbor, with a similar sized system, got $5000 back from the PUD for his solar production per year. My first year I got back $5.56, the second year, about $58. When I called Hot Solar Solutions they came out about 3 times, but the result was always the same. My production meter did not show production--or very, very little. They sai

This was the second attempt to have some work done by Hot Solar solutions. The first was in 2018. At that time I provided all documentation, blueprints, and power bills only to have a meeting set up and missed with no communication afterwards. Fast forward to today , an appointment set up at 10am today , all documentation and even aerial photos of the site provided in advance , to have another no show and to this point after several messages that were seen and not responded to go unanswered. Customer service is severely lacking on both occasions. Horrible communication practices.

I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with the team at Hot Solar Reviews in Richland, WA, and I’ve been consistently impressed by their professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to doing things the right way. While I haven’t personally installed a system through them, I’ve seen firsthand how much they care about their customers, the quality of their installations, and educating homeowners about solar and battery backup solutions. They don’t just sell systems — they take the time to explain options, incentives, and long-term value so homeowners can make confident decisions. If I lived

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“now? Panel prices, efficiency, and warranty quality have never been better.”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Kennewick is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
