Its one and two star share is 49 points above the typical installer in Minnesota. Across Minnesota, 3 of the 68 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I wish I could give zero stars. I've given them 8 months since everything started to get messed up - and they still cannot get anything done. First issue was they didn't not calculate my usage correctly (they were provided with 3 years of bills, and no changes in usage) - this took 3 painful calls to 'resolve' but who knows if it's resolved. Second, there was a full month when they had no billing platform because they 'had a bad falling out with their carrier' - which was wildly unnerving. Third, when they finally had a billing platform again, without my permission I was switched to paperless,

They suck Beyond imagine you can't even get a bill from them.

I’ve tried calling multiple times, leaving voicemails, scheduling callbacks, and sent emails to 3 email addresses I could find. Zero response. I moved and am trying to cancel service and you can’t even do it online in your account! Definitely avoid this business.

What a cool service! Community solar is a great benefit and Join Solar is the place to be. The sign-up process is quick (just have a bill handy) and once your savings start, it just rolls every month. Highly recommend.

Join Solar has created a seamless process for making community solar subscriptions accessible for everyone. I'm grateful to this organization for working towards "greening the grid!" I highly recommend subscribing. Their customer service reps are responsive and happy to answer any questions. Jamie- Northfield, Mn

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
