Its one and two star share is 49 points above the typical installer in Minnesota. Across Minnesota, 3 of the 68 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

A very unethical company. Highly recommend not working with them.

  • 1★ · around July 2026

They don’t pay their bills. Do not do business with them. They owe our company thousands and don’t respond to requests for payment - all the way from the CEO on down. Company is broke.

After I started using them, my bills increased, but that's not the reason for 1-star. I moved, and cannot get a hold of anyone to close my account. Phone numbers are disconnected, multiple email addresses do not reply, and creating a ticket online results in no response. I received a recent bill, and it didn't even have instructions on how to pay (I'd deleted my autopay since I heard such bad things about trying to close). There is literally no address to send a check to, and the number is disconnected.

Great experience with the company ever since signing up!! They are a great company to work with and really helped me to support renewable energy! Helping me while I help the environment!!

Easy sign-up process and they make the billing very simple to understand. Get credits off my electric bill, then pay Join Solar less. It's a great deal!

I had a lot of questions, but signing up to be part of a solar garden could not have been easier! Even if you can't have solar panels on your own roof, it is a great way to use clean, green energy. My Novel Energy rep, Joe was so helpful explaining it all!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“that made for slow adoption, and financing options were sparse. However, with his unique…”

  • Years in business

“has been married to Filomena for over 34 years and is proud of having many family…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
