Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in Bakersfield. Across California, 500 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 29 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I put Solar on my house a few years ago and they were fantastic. I just recently had a few solar panels that weren’t working and they immediately came out and got them back up and running . He always answers my text if I have questions because I never had Solar before, so I had a lot of questions about the app and he is always there to answer my questions. I would recommend them highly to anyone that needs Solar. It has been the best investment that I’ve ever done. I have heard so many horror stories about other solar companies but these guys go over and above .

Everyone I dealt with at the company from beginning to end had been helpful and professional.

I couldn't be more pleased with our solar purchase with MSI. Dave Mitchell (owner), John (foreman) and the rest of their team were so awesome and professional. Dave sat down with me, took great care to understand our historical energy consumption and future energy needs, and then gave us options for different solar configurations. I also got quotes from Sunrun and Bland, but wasn't impressed. Our roof is super chopped up (lots of small planes) and a two story, so I thought it would be a challenge for their installation team, but they knocked out the installation really fast and it looks fantas

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“fix the problem for the life of the warranty Warranty covers roof penetrations for…”

  • Established

“be replaced. We've been in business since 2009 and we have the experience to provide…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
