Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 63 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 9 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

The NOCO INSULATION crew lead by Elijah insulated my attic today. I am impressed! They were on time, professional, EFFICIENT, courteous and clean. In about 2 hours, the 3 man crew installed 70 baffles, sprayed in 1673 square feet of cellulose 14 inches thick and dammed around the Access panel. They cleaned up behind themselves, leaving the area as they found it. I definitely recommend NOCO INSULATION and I think I found a company I will be calling on again.

I have always wanted to have a geothermal ground pump system installed in my home. I am fortunate to have enough land (approximately 80 feet by 40 feet) to have a proper loop field for the system. Brian came to our house and explained the layout of the system and the financing. In my situation, the entire system was approximately $48,000. Of that $48,000, National Grid was required to kick in $7,500 which went directly to NOCO bringing the cost to roughly $40,500. That was the number we had to finance, which NYS has a program to assist in the financing. Of the $40,500, NYS & the Federal Govern

We had NOCO install a geothermal heating unit at our home in Chautauqua county. They were extremely helpful and professional every step of the way. They helped us set up financing and the installation went very quickly. Would definitely recommend them. 5/5

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“across New York State. With more than 90 years of experience, we understand the…”

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
