Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Baltimore. Across Maryland, 59 of the 111 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 28 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Baltimore whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Power Factor is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Power Factor is an incredible company. Everyone we dealt with were responsive and professional. They replaced an electrical panel in our home. The electrician, Shawn, was great. He and an apprentice replaced the panel, cleaned up, and Shawn returned for the inspection. He took care of a small issue that was actually created by the generator installation company. From the owner, to the workers, to the office staff, everyone works together for the client. Special kudos to Jessica, Administrative Assistant. She kept me informed of every step and was very pleasant.

Austin was a really good help and explained everything to us on the process/ next steps to insure we had everything correct with our solar panel installation! Best customer service and company!

I'm going to get right to the point - Power Factor is incredible! I can't sing their praises enough. Unfortunately, we had a storm come through and wreck our historic home's" lifetime shingles" on our roof. Gratefully, insurance paid for the replacement of the roof under our homeowner's warranty. It was during this time that we considered the idea of adding solar to our home. The crew from Power Factor was able to work with our roofers to build a system that would work well for us. They addressed concerns of mine, needs for our system, and goals as well. For me, solar was more about the long-t

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • 24/7 availability

“WILL NOT charge you any hidden fees. 24/7 Emergency We are available 24 hours a…”

  • Family owned

“and reliability. Meet the Team Our family-owned business employs more than 50 full…”

  • Licence number

“his Maryland electrical master’s license in 2004 and now has a master’s license in 5…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, established, years in business and better business bureau, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
