Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in the Baltimore area. Across Maryland, 31 of the 111 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 14 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Baltimore area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. PWR Energy Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had a meeting for a solar system and was quoted $40,000 for a 10kwh system. Almost 2x the price from every other solar installer, if you like getting fleeced then I would highly recommend them.

I was very skeptical. Mr Blume was patient & explained the program multiple times. He answered all my questions and I finally saw advantages along with disadvantages. I realized why this was good for me.

I had an excellent experience working with R. Craig Blume throughout my solar process. From the very beginning, Craig was extremely responsive, clear, and consistent with communication. What really stood out is that he stayed true to his word—everything he said he would do, he did, and he followed through at every step without me having to chase updates. He made the process easy to understand, answered questions quickly, and helped keep things moving when timing mattered. Professional, reliable, and genuinely committed to doing things the right way. Craig was very knowledgeable and helped us obtain credits and save about 30k and we love our independence now having our own Solar powered electricity!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“lower equipment prices and flexible financing options, many homeowners can switch to solar…”

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
