Its one and two star share is 12 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 368 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 7 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Horrible. The guy Jonathan is a jerk and is not kind to new customers that are in need of help. I called to get someone to come give me a quote on an entire overhaul. I was given an ear full of bad attitude and handful of reasons why I was wrong. I just wanted to pay for a call out and a quote. Needless to say I’ll go to someone nicer and more eager to have a customer.

Great job quoting and installing a solar pool heating system - came back quickly to repair a small leak, would definitely use again.

They show up when they say they will (can be rare in Mendo), give a fair comprehensive bid, then show up and do the work they contracted to do. They are nice people and they do clean work. I have an old (25 years) in slab hydronic heating system that was installed by the original owner builder, and was not a professional installation. When I bought the house in 1997, the system was operating but not functioning properly. Radiant Solar Technology was able to get the system running efficiently and consistently. The system has run flawlessly since 1997. Every couple years, I have Radiant Solar co

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“for the application. RST is a licensed California Solar Contractor, #1007610…”

Its website also mentions years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
