Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Washington. Across District of Columbia, 11 of the 22 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 390 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I did business with these guys a couple of times when I was getting my roof redone and had to have my panels taken off temporarily. Just did another major renovation. I scheduled these guys to come out last fall and they showed up but they didn’t want to install that day. I had everything they uninstalled a couple of months earlier but my contractor cut the wires from the roof to the interior box. They changed their story while onsite multiple times. First it was they could mount the panels and have a wiring guy come later. Then it was they needed inverters (even though each panel had micro in

I am very disappointed in my experience with Rev Solar. They give you as little information as possible to get you to buy the panels and then disappear. It took so much effort for me to teach myself about the solar panel trading system, market saturation (i.e. you WON'T be able to sell extra energy) and not to mention that the rates for the energy credits are NOT stable. I asked all of these questions PRIOR to agreeing to buying the panels and was fed so many lies. Finally, well after I was already in debt, I had to learn all this information myself. I highly recommend you do NOT work with a d

We were initially told that they could put both our barn and house on the same solar service. The electrician said that was incorrect. Best case scenario we will still have a bill for the barn, but eventually the electric generated from the house will make up for it. Panels were installed in February, so the 0% interest clock started then. However, we are still waiting for the system to be commissioned by Solar Revolution, so it is not active. Because of this, we are paying a very large solar payment to avoid a higher interest rate AND paying a full electric utility bill. There is no ETA on wh

My experience with Revolution Solar has been amazing. They were very professional. The installation took one day, and before they left they ensured that I know how to read the app. I would highly recommend this company. The panels look very nice on the roof. Job well done Revolution Solar!!!. Looking forward to seeing my reduced bill!

Revolution solar helped me switch to free solar with no hassle. They explained everything from start to finish.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“allows us to build systems that are guaranteed to meet expectations and return value…”

  • Better Business Bureau

“with my results. Rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau, a mark of our dedication to honest,…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Thumbtack, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
