Its one and two star share is 6 points below the typical installer in the Albany area. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Seed Solar saved the day! I needed a new roof and because my solar company closed down I had to find another company to remove my panels( I wasn’t putting them back up ).I was getting quotes from 4 to 8 thousand dollars to remove and reinstall the solar system. I was shocked and was going to cancel my roof job. Seed Solar was a fraction of the cost to remove the panels, allowing me to get roof done. Marcos and his team were outstanding and great to work with ! Trust me you are not going to get a better deal and if interested will help you sell your panels to recover some of your cost. Every ro

We worked with Marcos and Seed Solar on a large roof solar installation for our new tree service and landscaping garage. From start to finish, Marcos was responsive to our needs and communicated job progress and schedule clearly. He was a pleasure to work with, and we are very happy with the end result!

We used Seed Solar for 2 jobs. They are highly competent, reliable, pleasant and very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
