Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Oregon. Across Oregon, 55 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Smart Solar Energy is hands down the best solar company we could have chosen. The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. They made the whole process simple, stress-free, and easy to understand. The quality of the installation and customer service exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear they take pride in their work. If you’re thinking about going solar, I highly recommend Smart Solar Energy. Great people, great service, and an overall excellent experience!

I had a wonderful experience. They were honest and transparent about everything. They had a substantially lower price than our other bids and had excellent responsiveness. Would recommend to anyone interested in solar for their home.

We ordered and received Solar and a Battery, it took two months including being locked down with the Covid-19. Our mother-in-law went with another company and signed a contract with them and is still waiting. A couple of very minor snafus due to the weather and the virus were resolved easily. Smart Energy out of Sherwood is a great company throughout. Not enough veterans on the crew is my only complaint.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Tualatin is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
