Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in the New York area. Across New York, 139 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 95 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

On the New York ranking

No. 5 of the 82 rankable records in New York →

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the New York area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★20%

Each mark is one company we hold in the New York area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Pro is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Great company , Daniel was super nice and patient. Explained the whole process. Checked out a couple companies and they were by far the best. We are very happy with the installation in our house in queens. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend !!

We were told 3-4 months by other companies in Queens, Solar Pro did it much faster than accepted.

I’m so lucky I found Eli and Daniel. From start to finish the process was so smooth and definitely the best price in New York. I live in Long Island and was pleasantly surprised to learn they service my area too as they are based out of Brooklyn.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“financing with simple payment and financing options, and full 25-year warranty coverage…”

  • Warranty

“With $0 down financing and a 25-year warranty on both panels and installation,…”

  • Insured

“Our team is fully licensed and insured. You’re getting experienced NYC solar…”

  • Licensed

“solar panel permits . Certified & Licensed Professionals: Our team is fully…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
