Its one and two star share is 38 points above the typical installer in Massachusetts. Across Massachusetts, 8 of the 198 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Was told false information regarding the monthly payment, the whole time they were telling me I’d pay 268 a month and now I’m stuck with a 400 a month payment. Wouldn’t have gotten solar if I knew it would cost this much. They need to educate their sales team and/or stop giving false information in order to make a sale. When confronted they said they are not tax professionals and to contact our lawyer or tax professionals.

Summit Energy or Summit Energy Group is a HORRIBLE Company. Full of white lies and a grey area they use to manipulate their customers. Does not help they do not pay the young kids who do contract work for them and spend countless hours thinking they are supporting a good cause. If you are in MA use Boston Solar. If you are in NH or more north use BrightChoice Consulting, Revison Energy, or 603 Solar. PERIOD. I worked as a solar rep for a little less than a year so trust me or don't. Happy Shopping *** Response Yes I have reached out the office for the past month or so in hopes of receiving the

We are a property management company that has been working with Summit on several proposals for associations on the Seacoast. Both Ellen and Matt have been very helpful answering questions, adjusting proposals based on the unique needs of each community and educating the boards on how the financials and infrastructure is setup. We just received approval for our first contract installation and are looking forward to many more. Summit has been very flexible, responsive and they have done a great job communicating. I would definitely recommend them!

We worked with Ellen Eichelser and she was very professional, answered (and still is answering) all our questions, showed us different options so we know that when we sign that contract we know we are getting the best long term solar for our family. Thank you

Jeremy T from Summit was great to deal with and very professional so was Liz in the office. The installation crew did great clean work .

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
