Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Atlanta area. Across Georgia, 41 of the 80 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 135 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the Atlanta area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★35%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Atlanta area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Suncatcher of Atlanta is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

$29,000 solar unit installed and the system does not work....I asked to have a technician come to my home five months ago and have analyzed, though Gerry and his team showed no interest....

Has been an unpleasant experience for my household and regert getting solar panels from this company.

  • 1★ · around August 2021

Been waiting months and still my panels aren’t up. Tried calling but they never answer their phones.

Guessing this is a great place for home and swimming pool solar, but not for off-grid solar kits. Spoke to the owner over the phone, who was as pleasant and knowledgeable as could be. He told me I'd need to come in and speak to Pearson. Went to the office, spoke with Pearson about an off-grid 300 amp hour per day kit. Pearson made it clear he was not interested and told me I can buy those online.

Great experience. The workmen were very professional and very friendly. Installing new panels on an existing system can be a bit of an adventure, but they said it was very easy and they made it look easy. Happy to do business with them.

The only company that knows how to fix my solar/gas water heater! Very knowledgeable.

I have been using Suncatchers for years, I have always been pleased with their service. I have used them since 2012 and they have always been on target.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
