Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Bend. Across Oregon, 42 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 81 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

They installed our system in Portland OR and then left town. The system failed 2 years later and now we are having to pay another company to fix it. 10 year warrenty? Pretty lame to pay over 50 grand for a system and the company doesn't update you with any contact info or even let you know they are bailing on you. All the phone numbers on the equipment go nowhere.

Sun Light solar has excellent customer service. The few kinks with my installation were handled immediately. I highly reccommend them for anything solar.

Sunlight Solar provided my removal and reinstallation of my rooftop solar system. It included some tricky changes from the original system and I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the individuals who did the work. Clark, the journeyman on my project went the extra mile to make it a really clean looking install in my garage. Some contractors throw conduit wherever is convenient but he really made sure it would look great. I actually work in the solar industry so am pretty discerning. For local central Oregon solar I always recommend Sunlight due to their long experience,

The crew just left after installing our rooftop system. It looks and works perfectly. Most important to me, the project coordinator worked with our HOA to get approval, applied for and got all available rebates, and coordinated with the power company. All we had to do was sign a few documents. I would (and now have) recommended them to friends.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“been doing business since 1990. With over 30 years of experience, we offer premium…”

  • Licence number

“his Journeyman Electrician’s License in 2004 and is now the Signing Supervisor for…”

Its website also mentions financing, free estimate and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
