Its one and two star share is 10 points above the typical installer in Virginia. Across Virginia, 22 of the 118 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 25 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Dominic and his team are dishonest. They underquoted me for the initial job and halfway through installation started asking for more money!! Even after having a contract in place, of course the installation was halfway done, so I ended up having to spend 20% more than I anticipated for this job. I would recommend everyone do their research before going with a company, unfortunately I did not and I wish I had learned from the other reviews on this business.

My initial experience was good with them, but now all phone numbers go straight to voicemail, and Dominick will not answer his phone or text back

Company does not respond to emails or phone calls anymore.

The Sunlight Solar team has just finished installing panels on my roof and I couldn't be more pleased with their work. The roof has a steep pitch, making it a bit precarious but there was not a single problem throughout the entire install. The panels were explained in detail as well as the next steps needed to get the solar system up and running. No question was left unanswered! This experience is similar to the planning done by Mark and Kate - no question left unanswered! Thank you all for making my solar project as clear as can be. Update - as of April 2025, I cannot get a hold of anyone fro

They have been easy, pleasant and ethical to work with in both calls and in person. They have explained in detail and done everything to make such a major purchase go smoothly.

These guys are awesome to work with and do great work for all of their clients!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
