Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in the Portland area. Across Oregon, 55 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 102 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

No. 3 of the 35 rankable records in Oregon →

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the Portland area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Portland area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sunpath Services is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

As I shopped around to find the best price for my string inverter replacement, I was recommended to Sunpath by other companies in the industry.. I now see why! They provided the best price and fast service, plus they went the extra mile to insure that I understood the operational aspects of my Fronius inverters, and the phone app that lets me track the Kw production! Thank you Sunpath! Kelly Donaldson

I'm very pleased Wirth Aaron form Sunpath for getting my solar system up and running.Very unassuming and down home....very conscious of my spending which I appreciated. I'd recommend Sunpath for solar, despite the state of solar power now it will become important again in the future.

We appreciated the fact that Chet Zimmer is technically quite knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently during the course of several years. Additionally, there was full transparency on the cost breakdown and no time during the process we were pressured to commit to the project. Aaron Eddy and the rest of the installation team was highly professional and left the site quite clean. I would highly recommend the Sunpath Services for anyone considering solar panel installation.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“company with employees averaging more than 15 years of solar industry experience. We…”

  • Insured

“LLC is licensed, bonded, and insured. Terms and Conditions Beaverton,…”

  • Warranty

“cost breakdown, product and related warranty information, and an up-to-date…”

  • Licensed

“503-747-6770 Sunpath Services, LLC is licensed, bonded, and insured. Terms and…”

Its website also mentions bonded and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
