Powur arranged for Thompson and Son Energy Solutions to troubleshoot the solar panel system on our house approximately one month ago. They came out and determined a new inverter was needed, ordered it, had it sent to our house, and we thought all was well. Since then nobody has answered the phone when we've called or returned any voicemails or texts. Powur has also been unable to get a response from them. We have essentially been ghosted. At this point I don't even know if they are still in business. I saw a previous post by someone stating they did not have calls returned either and Thompson

I called this company 3 times. The first time, I spoke with someone about getting an inverter replaced on a solar system since the installer had gone out of business. I was told his bosses were out of town and would be back Monday to answer these questions. So I left may name and number to receive a call back. I waited til Tuesday before i called them back and nobody answered. I called Wednesday, nobody answered. Its been a week and I still haven't received a call. If you don't do the work, that's fine, but a courtesy call would be nice. Be careful who you use to install your solar panels. I w

I’ve been really disappointed with Thompson. Customer service to keep me in the loop on status and repair dates has been non-existent. I call and leave voice and text msgs, and never hear back from anyone. Unfortunately, SunPower will only send Thompson for warranty work, but if there was any other choice, I would select someone else. Because of this experience with Thompson, I am also no longer recommending SunPower solar panels when people ask me what brand to purchase.

Can’t say enough good things about Zachary Hayes! I needed a new electric charger put into my townhome which is anything but an easy project. Zachary did not fret at all and worked long hours to make it perfect for me. The project came out even better than I had hoped and I am thankful to have met him. He pulled permits, got it done effectively and efficiently, and cleaned up after too. Genuinely kind man with a lot of skill and knowledge. Highly recommend!

I have a Tesla Solar system and I needed a pest abatement to protect the underbody of the panels. While Tesla installed the panels, they could not install pest abatement/wire mesh to keep squirrels out. The squirrels chewed on the wiring causing me to replace 5 panels at a cost of over $5,000. I checked several companies to see who I could get pest abatement to protect the panels from further squirrel damage and most seemed to not even know how to work with Tesla solar panels with the skirt that surrounds the panels. I could not trust them. THOMPSON and SON Energy Solutions was very confident

Thompson and Son installed a new 6.7 KW solar PV system with battery back-up at my home last winter. The Thompson team worked hard to earn this five star review. From start to finish, they communicated well and worked with a commitment to find solutions and meet my high expectations. I had an old solar PV system that was installed in 2007, which Thompson removed for a fair price before installing the new system. Thompson can be trusted to use high quality panels and batteries, and to provide high quality workmanship with the installation. They also adeptly handled my interconnection applicatio

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
