Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Palm Springs area. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Palm Springs area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Timo Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I just recently had Timo’s solar do my installation and they were great! Joey the sales rep was professional and kept his word throughout the entire process. He arrived explained the installation process since this was my first time having this done and did exactly that, I will be using them again on my second home this summer Thanks Joey

Can’t say enough good things about Timo’s Solar. My wife is recovering from chemotherapy and was having non stop hot flashes so we had to keep the house cool and we were getting electric monthly bills in the $1100 range (thanks edison, not). Joey the owner bent over backwards to accommodate us and give us a great deal, knowing our budget is limited. I had 3 other quotes from big known solar companies and he beat them all, and in the end upgraded my panels without charging extra! So now my panels are over producing even in peak of summer. In addition, our 2 HVAC units were old and he fixed them

My husband and I had a few companies out to our home and decided to go with Timo Solar for the install of our new solar system. From the first appointment to the last Timo’s was professional, on time, consistent, knowledge and very competitively priced. We are extremely happy with how everything turned out and highly recommend Timo’s!

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • summer 2
  • affordable pricing 2

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
