Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 3 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I have a small cabin in the Santa Cruz mountains that I've been renovating for a few years now. When I purchased, it came with an old AGM battery system and 10 panels on an old wooden ground mount frame. Tiny Sun came in and completely tore out the old system and replaced it with an Ecoflow power kit and all new solar panels on a custom mount they had made for me. They were even able to incorporate my generator. What a night and day difference. I can run my entire 550sqft cabin for DAYS at a time now. The entire project only took them 4 days and they were extremely easy people to work with. I

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Tiny Sun on several system installs, and I’m consistently impressed with their knowledge and attention to detail. Would recommend to anyone looking for off-grid electrical or plumbing systems.

Tiny sun was able to troubleshoot an issue with my solar panels over the phone. It made a huge difference for me to have more power off of my solar panels.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    • It posts on Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Marina del Rey is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
