Its one and two star share is 9 points above the typical installer in the San Francisco area. Across California, 288 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 19 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the San Francisco area, on one axis

Each mark is one company we hold in the San Francisco area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Trulysun Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

They are the contracter company by project solar and they installed panels in my house about a month ago. They messed up one of lines going to my backyard cameras and a month passed. still didnt fix the issue they created. Stay away from them.

Horrible job for my home solar install. Can't follow install plans, can't pass inspection. I've failed 4 inspections waiting on my 5th now. Save yourself the hassle and use someone else.

This company was contracted by our solar company to install solar panels and to get approved by the utility company. They came out to install a month ago and the project is still not complete. This morning they were supposed to have a final inspection with the city and utility company, and Trulysun did not show up. Which means the inspection failed. Pros: -The woman who is the coordinator (Maria) seems like she is trying to be helpful in scheduling. See Con below for more details. Cons (and why 1 star): -Their communication is terrible. I prefer email communication but it is clear they do not

Trulysun installed solar at my home. They worked through supplier challenges, city permitting and with PGE. Couldn’t be happier with their professionalism and diligence!

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
