Its one and two star share is 5 points below the typical installer in Seattle. Across Washington, 61 of the 99 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 47 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Seattle whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Clean Energy Innovators is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Our EcoFlow Ocean system was the first for Randy's team. We wanted a completely automated system. 33 panels, a smart panel, batteries, an inverter and a generator. Professional expertise all the way from start to finish. Inspectors commented how neat the installation and wiring was. I talked with 6 different installers over the past 4 years but none had a complete ecosystem with only one app to monitor and manage the solar system. Read about the Ecoflow Ocean whole home system a year ago but no other local installers were aware or wanted to install the fairly new system. Randy's response to my

I recently had an issue with my Generac battery and was referred to Clean Energy Innovators for help. I called and immediately was on the phone with Randy, who spent quite a while with me problem solving the situation, even though I am in Oregon and far outside his service area. His advice was spot-on and I was able to resolve my issue. I was impressed with his knowledge base and practical problem-solving. For someone who is challenged understanding these issues it was refreshing to speak to someone who explained things plainly. Highly recommend this business!

Clean Energy Innovators are amazing! When my solar panels stopped communicating with my Enphase system and my previous solar company went out of business; Clean Energy Innovators answered the phone when I initially called, I didn’t have to leave a message and wait for a callback, they immediately went into let’s solve this issue. Went so far as problem solving with me over the phone to identify my issue, which was quicker than waiting for a technician to get to me. They also reiterated that if they couldn’t solve it over the phone they would send a technician out. Their over the phone solution

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“in the solar industry that push solar financing options. There may be hidden markup and fees…”

  • Warranty

“Our solar panels have a 25-year warranty, but they can last way longer than…”

Its website also mentions years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Angi and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
