Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Seattle. Across Washington, 47 of the 99 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 72 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Seattle whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sphere Solar Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This company is unorganized and unprofessional. Save your time and money and look elsewhere

March 2023: I got quotes from 3 different solar companies and Sphere offered the best deal. Communications and installation were very professional and timely. We're very happy that we chose Sphere!

I had Sphere Solar do an install for me 5 years ago. They were pretty quick and did a decent job. I reported a warranty claim, and midway they stopped responding to me because of some communication handoff snafu, but they were quick to resolve the issue once they noticed my review. Details below: My combiner box was showing an error signal and was not able to connect to the wifi. Talking with enphase they thought it was a loose neutral and told me to call Sphere Solar to send a technician out soon since my warranty expired next month. I gave Sphere Solar a call and they picked up, when I told

This is a professional firm and a very ethical company. Although we had some small hiccups on the start date and project plan, they delivered a fantastic installation (we did 28 solar panels+ batteries) with top notch quality. The technical crew was stellar and the project was immediately approved by the city. As a homeowner, we need more of these kind of companies that over deliver! Thank you guys. I highly recommend Sphere Solar!!!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“are backed by a 25-year equipment warranty and our 10-year workmanship warranty.”
  • Established

“executed four international projects since 2015. Going forward, we will divide our…”
  • Years in business

“CEO Edwin has successfully worked for over 15 years in construction both in the private…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, 24/7 availability and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
