Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in the Seattle area. Across Washington, 56 of the 99 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 320 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in the Seattle area, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in the Seattle area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Northwest Electric and Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

NWES was a preferred provider for the Tesla powerwall battery, so I went with them after reviewing multiple proposals from providers across the region. All in all the install was completed, but major hiccups happened along the way. The communication up front was overall fine and what you'd expect and it appeared that most of their planning emails were templates. On the day of the install, the team promptly showed up and was very courteous and clean throughout the entire 2 days. They did a great job having everything ready to go and worked pretty efficiently throughout the process. However, tha

I had a highly positive experience with the field crews at NWES, particularly the lead, Evie. He and his team were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, always prioritizing crew safety and staying late each day to ensure thorough cleanup. Evie’s communication skills were outstanding, which made the start of my project—installing 16 solar panels, 4 Tesla Powerwalls, and 2 SPAN panels—truly impressive. However, things took a turn when technical issues arose with one SPAN panel and a Tesla Powerwall connector. This is where the project management’s weaknesses became glaringly apparent. Inst

I found Northwest Electric and Solar through Tesla’s website as a recommended solar installation provider. I was contacted by Theo Frare Davis, but despite replying to him within minutes, it took 5 days for him to send me a quote. When I asked for additional services, he would only reply days later each time. This slow response was extremely frustrating, especially since I made it clear I was serious about moving forward. I even told him to please take the matter seriously, but he just laughed. That told me all I needed to know about the kind of business this is.

After the Tesla Wall Connector installaion, there is an unfinished opening in the drywall where the conduit exits below the panel.

Great communication, timely service, great system. Would highly recommend.

Very professional. I specifically asked for them because they are located in Kenmore where I live. Price was good because of the federal tax credit available at the time. Also, WA State didn’t charge sales tax on the project. 25 year warranty included. Project was a bit complicated due to panels are on a detached garage with separate electric panel. Project estimated to pay for itself in 11years (or less if utilities go up more than expected). Last year was the first full year and the panels generated more electricity than we used so the extra just went back to the grid to benefit the communit

Very sophisticated and easy to use booking and tracking system that kept me in the loop from start to finish. The technician was very curious, timely and efficient, and got everything done and waited for me to test it before leaving

What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Warranty
“stands by an industry-leading 25-year warranty, covering workmanship, replacement,…”
Licensed
“team in Washington State. A licensed journeyman electrician (with…”
Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- Google also lists this company under electrical.
- It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
