Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Seattle. Across Washington, 48 of the 99 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 91 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Seattle whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Puget Sound Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This company had not told me that there was some electronic company's meter work needed before I signed the agreement form. Instead they said Seattle City Light's inspection was the last step. But it turned out it was not, and the process has been drugged for weeks without me knowing what is going on. I am losing a lot of good sunshine days! The installation process was professional and good, but the problem is management's communication. I am very disappointed to have picked this company.

Any Solar company who refuses to price by panel is flat out lying to you and scamming you. A 10,000 kwh system costs $10k at retail. This company wants $35k installed. Thats a joke. Do yourself a favor, skip these scam companies, find someone to do the install on equipment you purchase. You'll save well over $10k and see a ROI within 5 years, not 20. Adding to my review, this business justifies their bad pricing model around the complexity of the install. It is not difficult to install. Clear pricing based on material is the best approach. Deception is this companies model. Avoid and find an e

Condescending, unwilling to educate potential customers and poor business practices. Personally would recommend working with literally anyone else.

We mainly wanted solar because summer bills kept getting worse every year. So far the difference has been huge. The installation team was polite, efficient, and finished the project ahead of schedule.

Excellent experience overall. The company stayed in touch through permits, installation, and final approval. The workers were respectful and hardworking, and the finished setup looks much better than I expected.

The initial installation of 48 panels was done five years ago, and we've had to call for a technician just once since then. This has been brilliant for us as rates rise ever-more-quickly.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“shrink their carbon footprint. With over 20 years of experience, we deliver top-quality…”

Its website also mentions warranty and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
