Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in the Tampa area. Across Florida, 224 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 189 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Tampa area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Coast To Coast Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had a pool solar leak repaired ~$500 (required 2 elbows and a union) started leaking again 1.5 months later. Called and was advised that the warranty was for only 30 days. They indicated that they could come out for a service call of $199 to repair. I've used this company for over 15 years and was very disappointed that they would not stand behind their work.

I would give less stars if possible. I called them out to do repairs on my pool solar panels that had some damage from Hurricane Milton. They appeared to perform the repair and gave me estimates for further work that may consider. I had them out to do more work and now just months from the hurricane damage the same loose clamps and broken strap are hanging. They refuse to make it right. Further more, I now have a roof leak from their work per licensed roofer and I have two burned out newer ceiling fans in my sunroof office that are ruined from the water intrusion from the loose screws and clam

Service has gone downhill earlier this year when some of their staff left (namely Scott and Bethany). They are not the same company they used to be. Much worse service and poorer quality on their solar installs. The owner, Gary, is rude and condescending and will blame you for everything they did wrong. I recommend looking around because a lot of these old reviews don’t seem to apply anymore.

UPDATE: The owner Gary called me after seeing this review and apologized and made it right. Appreciate that. So unhappy with them! We've had pool solar heat with them for 11 years. We had our annual check up which we paid just under $200 for. After they left my husband went on the roof and found broken straps and pieces out of place. We called and spoke to Randy who apologized and said they would send them back to do the work that we had paid them for. At this point we have lost all confidence in this company. If we hadn't looked we would have paid for nothing. So unprofessional. We needed new

Been very helpful in getting my couple solar panels back up and running.

I've been a customer of Coast to Coast Solar for a long time. It's been so long that I don't even remember being serviced by any other company! They show up when they say they wil, get right to work and clean up before they leave. I don't see any reason to use another company. They do it all and will tell me if I need something and suggest what I need to keep an eye out for. Thanks Coast to Coast Solar!

We purchased our solar pool heater system in 2012. We have replaced a couple of the panels since then but all of the electronics and switches are still working inspite of a 4 foot flood. We have Coast to Coast inspection every year. Today our 11,000 gallon pool is 100 degrees. You do not have to turn it up that high but our hot tub was destroyed in the last flood. We also have a active solar system for the house. Our last electric bill was $30 of which only $12 was for actual electric usage. The balance was fees and minimum amounts. The pool cost for the pump usage is very minimal. I would hig

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

“available from Coast to Coast Solar. Since 2010, our licensed and certified solar…”
  • Licensed

“Coast to Coast Solar. Since 2010, our licensed and certified solar company in Lutz,…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
