Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Tucson. Across Arizona, 172 of the 269 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 17 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Tucson, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in Tucson whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Expert Solar Systems is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I absolutely recommend Expert Solar Systems. They removed my solar coils for me when I had my roof recoated and replaced them. They also have come out on maintenance calls for me. Christina just spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with me today explaining a concern I had and gave me information to help me troubleshoot before we did a service call. Many companies would just come and charge a fee no matter what. I will be using them for years to come!

Expert Solar is an outstanding company. After having my house painted, the system stop working and I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I called Expert Solar and the person walked me through the possible issues. The problem was a hidden switch had accidentally been hit and turned off the value. Problem solved over the phone and no charges. I asked for a technician to come to the house when I called but instead they fixed it over the phone. What great customer service!

Addendum: Expert solar replaced an actuator for us, and we couldn't be more pleased. A bit expensive, but our pool has never run as efficiently as it does now. Would highly recommend them! Professional courteous, experienced and punctual… that’s my review of the Expert Solar systems! Christina is among the very best of owners of a company that I have ever worked with. Her father installed the solar heating on our pool several years ago, and she has fallen right into place. Chris, the tech who serviced our pool this week was personable, experienced and shared a good deal of (welcome) knowledge

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions veteran owned, established, years in business, better business bureau and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
