The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 43 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I've had nothing but problems with Helio since we purchased our solar panels and our Sol Ark battery. The installation took 3 months longer than was initially promised and that was just the beginning of our issues. Every time I have questions it takes weeks to get a response. I wish I knew in advance that Helio doesn't allow owners to adjust time of use settings for the Sol Ark battery. This has to be done by the company. I've been waiting for over a month for them to adjust the settings. If I had access to this feature in the app I would have done it myself a long time ago. The panels and the

I spoke with Brian a week ago about installing both solar and geothermal at our home in Ridgefield. He talked a good game and said he would put together designs for both systems and get back to me in a few days. 2 weeks later I have left multiple voicemails and emails and received no response. In desperation I booked a virtual appointment for today and Brian failed to show up and gave no notice that he would not be able to make it. I guess he does not want our business.

I can break my experience into two parts - install/engineering and communication. With respect to install/engineering, I think the whole process went smoothly (~9 months in as of this post). There have been no hardware issues associated with the system. All of the engineers and installers that visited my house were respectful, pleasant to talk to, and left their work areas clean. 2.5/2.5 stars on that end. Communication, it's a .5/2.5. I had two major issues that detract enormously from the experience. The first was lack of response and communication after the utility did not pass the proposed

We were very happy with Helio solar. Our project was complicated, many faces to our roof: an 18.275 kW system with 43 panels. They did a great job coordinating with us and our contractor and cared about the esthetics of positioning and running the conduits. Greg, Butch, David, the whole team were absolutely professional and kind - it was a pleasure to work with them, and we felt respected throughout the process.

Solar is a process, so be aware it will be numerous steps, permits, and appointments. Within that reality, Helio was a very good company. We had numerous meetings while I requested additional options - like critter guard (oh, the squirrels) and using a hybrid inverter that would allow me to install batteries less expensively than Enphase or Tesla systems. Then, the system gets designed, then you sign off, then they do a site visit to visually inspect the roof, then permits and installations. The actual panels go on in a day - everything else takes A LOT longer. And then permits to turn everyth

Grade A company. An absolute pleasure to work with.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“systems available today by State licensed & NABCEP certified installation…”

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
