Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in Chicago. Across Illinois, 54 of the 183 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 26 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Chicago whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Quality Solar, LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

HORRIBLE! research before having a anything done to your home or buisness.

My experience with Quality Solar has been exceptionally poor, and I strongly urge others to be cautious before choosing this company. During the initial sales process, I was contacted by the sales representative (Carter) as many as three to four times a day. However, once the contract was signed and the installation moved into the inspection phase, communication dropped off significantly. Reaching someone from the company for updates or support became extremely difficult and frustrating. It was clear to me that Quality Solar lacks familiarity with my city’s requirements for solar installation.

We were very pleased with Quality Solar. Zach did a great job explaing the benefits and process ahead of time and was extremely communicative along the way, Alex and LB were efficient, hardworking, transparent, and knowledgeable. They explained everything along the way. We had a bit of a mix-up on OUR end early on. The owner, Drew, came by and honored our request, even though it cost them money and an entire extra day of work. The final product looks great, and we highly recommend.

LB and Alex were excellent and very professional. They both worked hard to troubleshoot a panel reinstall that was originally installed by another company. They got everything up and running again!

Quality Solar is truly one of the best companies in the industry. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail, especially when it comes to solar architecture and system design, are outstanding. Everything is planned and executed with professionalism and care. Their customer service is also second to none. The team is responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied. Overall, Quality Solar is a trustworthy, professional, and exceptional company that I would highly recommend to anyone considering solar.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“your full quote with tax credits, and financing options (including $0 down) that let you…”

  • Warranty

“price you see is the price you pay, guaranteed. Local Team, Personal Support Results…”

  • Free estimate

“how it works Here's how it works 1 Free Consultation Book your consultation - we'll meet…”

  • Licensed

“and trust. Experience Driven Licensed electricians and certified installers…”

Its website also mentions years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
