Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in Charlotte. Across North Carolina, 57 of the 130 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 76 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

A professional team that worked to answer all of my detailed questions. When there was a necessary repair ahead of county approval it was completed immediately, not needing to wait days or weeks for availability. The team worked with us to make the rebate application process very easy. We love watching the SolarEdge app and seeing the energy we are saving! UPDATE: After a year of having the system installed, my production has been 20% or more below the estimated production. This completely changes the economics and I have yet to receive any feedback from the company.

Installation took one extra day because of some wiring issue, but I appreciated that they didn’t rush through it just to finish fast. The supervisor kept me updated by phone and the team stayed polite the entire time. Panels are working perfectly now and my meter barely moves during the daytime.

We were totally satisfied with our solar system designed and installed by Renewable Energy Design Group 3 years ago. Installation was a breeze. Again, they had a good crew and they knew what they were doing. Our system included an EV charging station. A small technical regret. Our system is on a detached building, and sub panel and we learned after installation that we were not able to use the Solar Edge usage/ generation monitoring feature and now pretty expensive to retrofit. We can only see generation and consumption reports on our power provider website but not in real time. Our panels wer

Absolutely the best! We have looked into going solar for a long time now and researched many different companies in NC. Randi with Red Group Charlotte has been the absolute best to work with. She’s provided us with answers to all our various questions. She clearly explained everything to us (pros / cons of solar sizes, how the power programs work, how panels and backup batteries work, warranties and even odd questions about hail / weather, etc..) and has been incredibly patient as well as knowledgeable about the entire system. Other companies just tried to sell us solar and could not even answ

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Better Business Bureau

“for environmental stewardship Better Business Bureau A+ rated and accredited business…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
