Its one and two star share is 4 points above the typical installer in Santa Cruz. Across California, 500 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 14 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Santa Cruz whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Technologies Santa Cruz is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

  • 1★ · around August 2022

Solar Technologies used to be a good locally owned company but since they've sold they're no longer responsible nor professional. Old Solar tech company installed my system using Enphase inverters. Enphase say's my inverters need upgrading and they will help with the cost; however, Solar Technologies has told me repeatedly they do not want to service my system. I would highly suggest you look !

Javier was very thorough. My solar company has gone bankrupt and I needed to know if the system was working. He checked everything and fixed the wi fi connection .

  • 5★ · around March 2026

I had a squirl problem, building nests and chewing on wires, Solar Tech was out before upgrading inverters, so I can get a battery later if needed. When I called about squirl abatement, they responded that they do it. The quote was fair and Javier, Josh, and Kiriel came out and did a wonderful job on my panels. If you have squirl or rat problems under your panels, these are the people you need to call.

Javier was prompt, communicative, respectful and obviously competent. He did a great job relatively quickly. It was very high value for the price. We highly recommend Solar Technologies for all things related to solar energy.

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • inverter 3
  • system 3

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Established

    “1,000 commercial projects completed since 1998. Design-Build Expertise Seamless…”

  • Years in business

“for clean energy solutions. With more than 25 years of experience, thousands of…”

Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
