Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in the Dallas area. Across Texas, 338 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 225 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Dallas area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★55%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Dallas area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solarize is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Over a month since "repair" of a couple of optimizers took down my battery, so I'm stuck using utility power during peak rate hours when the panels don't keep up with the draw, resulting in a depletion of credits and soon REAL charges, but my "Lifetime System Guarantee" is subject to your non-responsive "Service" department. Great system when it works, but to get your attention when it needs fixing is a real nightmare!

Do not buy these panels, they're not worth 25 years of payments! They even put a lien against your property in your county's clerk official public records, so they can come after your property in court! Not to mention, Sunnova just went out of business after filing for bankruptcy!

Solarize came off as misleading from the start. They acted like they were part of a government program and asked for personal info just to “see if we qualify.” Later, it felt like a bait-and-switch — tons of pressure and zero transparency. Would not recommend. Be careful.

Update – March 4: My review does reflect the truth, and is limited in detailing the recorded attempts at addressing my ongoing issues. I’ll admit my previous update was written out of frustration and before any real action had been taken the day sited below… That being said, I HAVE been waiting. In January, we had a direct conversation about next steps, and I was supposed to receive followup communication—none came. After a mo I sent an email on the 19th to follow up on this and then the failure came on the 20th as mentioned below, and it took me calling you directly after Canadian. It should

We just moved into a new to us house. It had solar panels, which we had never owned and didn't know anything about. After 2:00 bills, we were not seeing any money back for the solar panels. So I contacted solar panel companies to see what needed to be done. Daniel at Solarize was so extremely helpful. He explained to me that I needed to have a transfer of ownership done first. He walked me through how to find out what type of panels we had. And he actually contacted the company himself to get a ticket opened for me so I could transfer ownership. Once that was done, he gave me the customer serv

From start to finish it was a very smooth process. After the installation my salesman changed jobs and was not with the company anymore. I then saw some results of promises that that were not being met. Then Lance and Matt stepped in from Solarize and went above and beyond. I was getting the roof redone, and they offered to add extra panels for free to meet my original expectations. So as they did the removal and reinstall for my roof, they added panels to help. Good communication and great service.

Can’t put it all in writing but I can say the company has been very responsive and nothing short of amazing. Lance has been there through and through. They are a genuine group of people doing wonderfully well.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“management — all backed by flexible financing options like PPAs and prepaid solar leases.”
  • Warranty

“tailored to your home, with a 25-year warranty and real savings from day one. Get a…”
  • Licensed

“day one through final activation. Licensed + Insured Electrical Contractor…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and insured, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Angi and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
