Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Dallas area. Across Texas, 396 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 374 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in the Dallas area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★55%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Dallas area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solartime USA is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I requested a quote on the website and I was called the next day and asked for a copy of my electric bill. Days later I reached out asking when my quote would be available and no one ever responded. It’s now been 3 weeks.

Reliable company to get the system installed. They are really responsive and carry good products. It's been little bit less than a year and the system is working great!

I spent close to several years looking into solar and talked with several companies around DFW before making a decision. Solartime was the only company that never tried to force me or rush the process. They took the time to answer all my questions and let me make the decision when I was ready. I’m glad I went with them, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Solartime to anyone thinking about going solar. Highly recommend giving them a call

I researched solar for nearly three years and spoke with several companies across DFW. Solartime was the only company that never pressured me, always answered my questions, and gave me the time I needed to make the right decision. I’m very happy I chose them and highly recommend them!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“your investment performs. 25 Years Warranty Invest with confidence. Our solar…”

  • 24/7 availability

“and your complete satisfaction. 24/7 Monitoring Stay in control with our…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau, Yelp and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
