Its one and two star share is 19 points above the typical installer in Oregon. Across Oregon, 14 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Triple NO for me. The owner is rude and will not help you with any repairs. I have had two occasions to have a conversation with the owner. First as a Realtor I needed a solar inspection, which he was unwilling to do. He told me the homeowner installed it and is the expert. There is nothing wrong with the system. He refused/declined to come inspect the solar system for us. Fast forward six months I have another need to call for emergency help on a Sunday. This business advertises as open till 5:00 pm on a Sunday. The owner answered the phone but was again unwilling to help. We need to restore

The Solar Man did an excellent job installing solar on my home. The entire process was smooth and completed on time, with everything done to my satisfaction. They took care of all the rebates and incentives, making it easy and cost-effective. The system has performed just as expected, and they’ve always been available to answer any questions I’ve had.

The Solarman completed the entire process from planning to installation and made certain that I received all of the State and federal incentives for which I was eligible. The system performs better than I hoped.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“investment you can make. Satisfaction Guaranteed Solarman company has been operating…”

  • Bonded

“Solarman company, LLC is licensed, bonded and insured CCB #51245 Contact info:…”

  • Insured

  • Licensed

“of Oregon Solarman company, LLC is licensed, bonded and insured CCB #51245…”

Its website also mentions years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
