Its one and two star share is 11 points above the typical installer in Anaheim. Across California, 332 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

0% rated 1–2★40%

Each mark is one company we hold in Anaheim whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sun Solar OC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This company is terrible!!!When you try to contact them to solve your solar panel issue, you can only wait to be transferred — but you’ll never actually get connected. You just keep waiting for a response that will never come. Don’t expect anything, because you’ll be waiting forever — you’ll never get a reply. They’ll tell you, “We’re fully booked, but we’ll do our best to schedule an appointment for you,” and then they’ll just disappear! WTH! If you hire them to install your system, congratulations — this is the kind of “service” you’ll be getting.

Very poor scheduling and responsiveness to issues. I had a battery Installed about 2 years ago. 2 months go the battery stopped working. Opened a case with Sunpower, they shipped replacement equipment to these guys (who were my installers) and they have been sitting on the equipment for almost 2 months, never calling me back, never emailing me. I've called them multiple times to get an appointment, and only today. After calling them did they give me a day to fix my battery. I reported the issue Feb 10. and they are only coming to fix it until March 27th. This entire time, I've had no battery b

Snake Oil. I bought my house from the previous owners who invested in the Sun Power Solar System. I inherited this garbage. My System currently produces 6-8 Kwh a day, and my home uses between 30 and 66 KWH a day. How can you spec a system this under powered? To make matters worse, I pay about $138 a month to save under $200 a month on my electric bill. How does help me? It only helps Sunpower. On top of that, they have the worse customer service in history. It's almost impossible to get someone on the phone. Your wait time continually gets longer per the voice prompt. Call started with a 10 m

Shout out to the team of Zack, Mason, and Shawn for their courtesy, professional, honesty and prompt responses to my issue with the microinverter. One of a few companies out there that are still helping their orphaned Sunpower customers with a very honest and fair service fee. I’m sure will come back when I need to service and upgrade my system in the future.

Fast, reliable and competively priced - I would not only recommend them I look forward to working with them again as we expand. At first I was a little apprehensive having read some bad reviews below. Then it occurred to me that most of these reviews are related to *SunPower* - a former solar panel manufacturer that went bankrupt - NOT Sun Solar OC. Apparently some people are so upset at SunPower that they blasted the next closest listing in Google Maps. And admittedly, Sun Solar OC did work with SunPower years ago (as did most installers). Anyway, after sorting that out I trusted my Powerwall

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
