Its one and two star share is 30 points above the typical installer in Anaheim. Across California, 140 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 141 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in Anaheim, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in Anaheim whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. SunPower Corporation is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

My elderly mother made an appointment with SunPower. I couldn't be there in person but I was on the phone on speaker. After running the numbers I determined that the cost benefit was minimal and wouldnt be worth the trouble. Also having solar panels on the front of the house facing the street would look tacky and take away from the aesthetic of the house after a lot of work went into the garden which should be the focal point. I excused myself from the call after all the information was collected and at that point it became a family conversation. When all my siblings got together to talk about

Since purchasing my home we're supposed to have solar. They came with the house we chose to lease it and the company is palmetto though I'm guessing they outsource to complete solar which apparently also Sun power. Either way they were supposed to turn on my solar last year in June 2025 here we are in April and I haven't received any credits of any sort. When I called it turns out that they never bothered to turn on the solar last year! So I've been paying for a product that hasn't been turned on for almost a year. I requested a refund and in the picture you get the ring around rigmarole. This

I’ve had nothing but confusion and problems with this company. I’ve been told several different stories on replacement and update of my solar unit. Each time someone is sent to my home only to leave and tell me someone else will be coming to replace the unit. Then they cancelled a scheduled appointment and later sent a technician out who claimed he couldn’t replace the unit because he didn’t have the proper tools. I called the office and spoke with Martha Benitez who assured me this would be resolved and she too never got back to me. This company shows a level Of incompetence and poor customer

[2024-01-19: 1 Star] I can not recommend anybody go with sunpower. It is absolutely the worst experice I ever had with any company. I started my solar install project with them in September 2022, 44k loan to install ~20 panels. it is January 2024 and still NOT COMPLETE and started making monthly payments on the solar. They hide and don't respond to emails. ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE. Incredibly stressful. [2024-02-19: UPDATE - 3 Stars] The next day since my last revew (above), Sunpower escalated my case with good folks within the company. They assigned me a new project manager, Ronin, who took

Matt (sales) and Chris (engineer) from the design and installation team explained clearly the whole process and how it would benefit me in the long run; I was also told about the contract in detail and how it would benefit me to have a solar system versus staying on the grid for power. The process from Home Review to Design, and, then, onto City planning and inspection, went so smoothly that I felt like all the stars were aligned just for me- in order to have this Solar System in the home. SunPower has great customer support as well as them using the best top notch technology with Tesla Gatewa

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.
What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Its website also mentions warranty, free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
