Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Anaheim. Across California, 759 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 23 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Anaheim, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★40%

Each mark is one company we hold in Anaheim whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. TENCO SOLAR is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

The team was polite and cordial. However, they did not seem to be very knowledgeable. They apparently had no clue as to what the error code on the display meant. After an hour and a half of unplugging and plugging wires, they pronounced the problem fixed. After a few days, I discovered the same error message on the display. I hired another company. The problem was in the junction box on the roof, which Tenco did not even check. The problem was diagnosed and repaired. Tenco was a waste of time and money.

Tenco initially completed an installation for us in 2022 at a 9,000 square foot office building. Our experience was positive. When we considered a solar system for our 24,000 manufacturing facility, we again decided on Tenco. Their communication and coordination is excellent throughout the process.

Great service and solar installation experience from beginning till end. Would recommend Tenco Solar to anyone who wants a solar system installed.

Excellent. Do not hesitate to work with Tenco. They are organized and efficient with a large list of happy commercial customers. Very happy with Tenco.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“are backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty. EPC Subcontracting With three…”

  • Family owned

“Solar Experts TENCO SOLAR, our family-owned and -operated business has proudly…”

  • Established

“has been an invaluable asset to TENCO since 2012. His encyclopedic knowledge of…”

  • Years in business

“SOLAR in February 2026, bringing more than 14 years of experience in the solar industry.”

Its website also mentions free estimate and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
