Its one and two star share is 4 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 571 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 19 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I have had nothing but trouble in getting the solar installation approved by SCE due to the fact that this company not only failed to file an application with Southern California Edison in a timely manner but has also submitted incomplete information to Southern California Edison on two occasions. Our solar system was installed November 2018 and has yet to be able to be energized

Sunko Solar is a breath of fresh air. It is so hard to find trustworthy solar companies in Los Angeles, especially given how many there are. Marco was excellent to work with and is a man of his word. Even afterwards when we had complications with the city, Marco made sure to take the lead on the issue and help us make sure that our solar was connected. It’s incredibly rare to find such genuine business practice nowadays. I can’t say enough good things about Marco and Sunko Solar in Los Angeles County. I appreciate and respect how transparent and genuine Marco is. I wholeheartedly recommend thi

Excellent service from start to finish. They made going solar easy and hassle-free. Very happy with the results!

Honest solar company! after shopping around with vultures for months this guy was the easiest and most transparent. Simple and efficient process and amazing price! He was not trying to sell you on a lease and extra panels. Highly Reccomend!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“numbers before you commit. Explore financing options Already have solar? We service…”

  • Warranty

    “— $0 down, backed by a 25-year warranty. Get my estimate 888.997.8656 CSLB…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
