Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in Missouri. Across Missouri, 57 of the 114 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 20 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

JL solar did a wonderful job at our church installing a 134 kW system. They were professional, did quality work in a timely manner, and significantly beat out the price of seven other quotes we got. Would highly recommend them to others.

I hired JL Solar to handle the electrical work in my basement as I work on finishing it, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. Jamie and his team were professional, reliable, and got the job done right. They are very safety-conscious, which gave me peace of mind that everything was done properly. Their pricing was fair, and they were easy to work with throughout the process. Being a family-owned business, working with Jamie and team felt like having a trusted family friend help out around the house. I highly recommend JL Solar!

JL Solar conducts business with integrity and professionalism. A small business that is capable of large projects with big results. The knowledge and skill of the staff means no job is too simple or complex for their team. If you want quality work that maintains schedule and is on budget, your electrical contractor bid selection should absolutely include JL Solar. Solar is in the name, but only a part of what they can do for you!

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on TikTok and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
