Its one and two star share is 4 points above the typical installer in Phoenix. Across Arizona, 102 of the 269 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 254 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.
Every company we hold in Phoenix, on one axis
Each mark is one company we hold in Phoenix whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Topps is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

*** Update 5/2026: Issues still not resolved and Solar Topps refuses to address it *** I would like to first state that my husband and I have never been demanding, hostile, or threatening in any way. In fact, the sales person from Solar Topps has said as much, which we have in writing. The placement of the battery and the sunshade that was later built over the battery was all suggested by and planned by Solar Topps. The sunshade was installed by an independent contractor hired by Solar Topps - A sunshade designed by Solar Topps. They asked us to pay him from our personal account (which seemed

Good luck with SolarTopps, if it works, OK, If Not, then you are in soup. I am dealing with this worst vendor who dont know how to handle Roof tiles of a Pulte builder for some time now. The home is not even one year old. SolarTopps claiming Roof Tiles are not standard and in quality, I dont know how they determined it. they messed up my roof tiles and now i am dealing with SolarTopps and its going back and forth regarding the resolution for months. I am editing this review after seeing the statment - "Misleading" in solartopps response. Attached the picture of current status of roof tiles "Un

In good conscience, I could not recommend this company. I went through Energy Sage when we wanted to expand our existing solar system and add more panels and a battery. I worked with Sean originally and he was great - explaining the needed panels and helping us choose a battery. However, once the project was passed off for design and installation we experienced many delays, 2 inspection failures, issues with our electrical panel and many, many issues with the monitoring system. We started the whole solar addition process in June of 2025. We did not get solar installed until the end of August a

Requested a quote to add Tesla Powerwalls to an existing solar system. Was told they don't do that with solar systems older than 5-7 years which is strange because a competitor had already provided me a quote to do so. Also had a hard time understanding the reps heavy Indian accent.

I recently had a solar system, Tesla Powerwall 3 and a new eletrical panel installed on my roof by Solar Topps, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The entire team did an excellent job; every employee I interacted with was professional, skilled, and courteous. What impressed me most was the communication. Solar Topps kept me informed at every single step of the process, navigating the often-complex construction and permitting phases with ease. I never felt left in the dark regarding timelines or inspections. The installation itself was handled efficiently. If you are looki

Quick update, they recently had a great deal on adding a Powerwall expansion pack. I took them up on that and it was a very simple process, the electrician was in and out in a few hours with no need for anyone to be there. Photo attached. This review is for a rooftop solar combined with Tesla Powerwall 3 install. I had been considering solar for some time, but sticker shock from the APS rate increases finally pushed me to act. I knew I wanted to own the panels instead of getting locked into some weird lease system. Fortunately, I knew Mark Greene through work and asked his advice. He works wit

What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Family owned
“execution. Solar Topps operates as a family-owned Arizona company, delivering direct…”
Better Business Bureau
“so, what’s their complaint history? A Better Business Bureau profile reveals how a company handles…”
Its website also mentions warranty and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
