Its one and two star share is 10 points above the typical installer in the Cave Creek area. Across Arizona, 41 of the 269 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 26 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Cave Creek area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. SunSplash Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

This went from incompetent to dangerous. First they totally blew me off claiming "human error" which earned them a 1 star review for total failure to perform at all. Then BRUNO calls and starts bullying me about the initial review. Take …

I dont get it. You send me a fancy advertisement by mail, I call and a very inpatient women rep tells me she will send me a cost for solar pool panels by email and then ZZZZZZZZ nothing. Who does that? not very smart guys. Maybe your the only ones who do solar in Nevada?

We installed Heliocol passive solar panels years ago. Since Sunsplash took over we had nothing but leaks and finally had it removed from the roof. Their total incompetence in removal yanking out all the wood supports with an adze pickax cost me $10,000 in reroofing the entire area as they pulled up the foam down to the studs in many places. Then when I paid their ridiculous $1470.00 invoice for tossing their panels off the roof and damaging everything else, I got my check returned undeliverable and unable to forward. When I emailed them I was told “oh we recently moved” and gave me a residenti

Excellent service. I anticipated having to replace my entire solar heater, but they were able to fix it in just a few minutes. Then they taught me a few things I didn't know about my system before they left. Highly recommended!

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
